If you are heading to a Golf Course Road mall in Gurgaon to start shopping for a wedding, a little planning turns a tiring afternoon into a useful one. House of Daisy is in DT Mega Mall (earlier known as DLF Mega Mall), Golf Course Road, DLF Phase 1, Sector 28, Gurugram, on the 2nd Floor in Shop 226A. We are a made-to-measure bridal and occasion-wear studio, and this guide is about making a visit to us, or anywhere similar, count.
Finding the right golf course road gurgaon mall
Our mall changed its name, so use DT Mega Mall when you search for directions. We will not describe the other shops or the rest of the building; tenants change, and we only want to tell you what we know for certain. If you cannot find us once inside, message us on WhatsApp +91 92896 79666.
Before you leave home
List your functions. Roka, mehndi, haldi, sangeet, wedding, reception, and the rough dates. A designer plans differently for a summer haldi and a winter reception.
Collect references. Save ten to twenty pictures you love in one place, such as a Pinterest board or a phone album. Include things you dislike too.
Bring anything family. A mother's saree you want to use, a piece of jewellery the outfit must go with.
Bring or wear your heels, if you have chosen them. Hem lengths depend on them.
Book ahead. A designer with time set aside for you is worth more than a quick look round.
What to look for in a wedding outfit studio
Fabric up close: feel the weight, look at the back of the embroidery, check the lining.
A clear process: who measures you, when the trial is, how the delivery date is set.
Openness about cost: you should see the price before anything is cut.
Room for your ideas: can they add names, change motifs, rework an heirloom?
Our checklist on choosing a bridal boutique in Gurugram goes deeper.
What we make at our studio
Bridal lehengas, in any colour including ivory and white, with embroidery planned with you. See bridal wear at DT Mega Mall.
Function wear: lighter lehengas, shararas, anarkalis and suits for the roka, mehndi and sangeet.
Party and reception wear: long and short gowns, co-ords, dhoti-style sets, capes and cocktail dresses.
Sarees: customised, with the embroidery and border planned with you and the blouse stitched to your measurements; or your own saree reworked.
Family looks: coordinated outfits for mothers, sisters and friends, through our group orders.
A good first visit, step by step
Talk through the functions, setting and the feeling you want.
Look at fabric and embroidery samples with the designer.
Agree a design direction for the main outfit, and if you like, for the others.
Have your measurements taken.
Hear the full cost, then decide. Nothing is cut until you approve.
A first visit does not have to end in a decision. Coming back a second time with your mother or a sister once the direction is clear is a sensible way to work. What helps most is leaving with a short written note of what was agreed: colours, fabric, embroidery, blouse style and the functions it is for. If you are planning several outfits, ask the designer to sketch how they sit together across the wedding week, so the haldi, sangeet and reception each feel distinct.
