The top bridal trends 2026 are worth knowing, but not every one belongs on every bride. At House of Daisy on Golf Course Road, Gurugram, our designers talk brides through these ideas every day, so here are ten of the directions brides ask about most, each with an honest verdict: wear it, or skip it.
Ask a designer which trends suit you
How should I read this list?
The order follows how often brides bring each idea to us, not any survey. "Wear it" means it works for most brides and is likely to age well. "Skip it" does not mean the trend is bad, only that it suits fewer brides or fewer weddings. Your own taste always wins.
Trends one to five
- Double dupattas. Wear it. One over the head, one draped. It feels deeply bridal, gives the photographer two looks in one, and the second dupatta can be removed for the dancing.
- Corset bodices. Wear it, if you like a held fit. Structured and boned, they define the waist beautifully. Skip it if you like a soft, relaxed blouse for a long day.
- Capes. Wear it. A sheer or embroidered cape adds drama without adding weight to the skirt, and it can come off for the reception.
- Colours beyond red. Wear it, if you love the colour. Wine, rust, ivory and rose look wonderful. Skip it only if you are choosing a colour for novelty rather than love.
- Personal embroidery. Wear it. A name, a date or a line that matters, placed on the blouse back, the dupatta or the latkans. It never dates, because it is about you.
Trends six to ten
- Farshi lehengas. Wear it, at the right venue. A floor-sweeping skirt is beautiful on a large lawn or in a grand hall. Skip it if your venue has many steps or narrow spaces.
- Lehenga-sarees. Wear it for the reception. Pre-draped and easy. For the wedding itself, most brides still prefer a full lehenga.
- Fish-cut skirts. Skip it for the pheras. Lovely for a cocktail evening or reception, but sitting for a long ceremony in a fitted skirt is hard.
- Minimal embroidery. Wear it, with a plan. Less work can look rich if the fabric is lovely and the work sits in the right places. Skip it if you have always dreamed of a heavy, traditional lehenga.
- Jackets over lehengas. Wear it in winter. A matching jacket is warm and looks regal. In summer, a sheer cape gives a similar line without the heat.
How do I choose between the trends I love?
Pick a maximum of two for the wedding lehenga. Put others into your function outfits: a fish-cut skirt for the sangeet, a lehenga-saree for the reception. That way you get to wear every idea you love, and the wedding look stays clear. Our latest bridal lehengas show several of these in real pieces.
What should I bring to a consultation?
- Pictures of the trends you are drawn to, with a note on what you like in each.
- Your function list, with timings and venues.
- Anything you know you do not want.
Your first design consultation is free, in the showroom or on a video call. Read more about what happens at the consultation.
Can every one of these be made to order?
Yes. We make corset bodices, capes, farshi lehengas, lehenga-sarees, jackets, double dupattas, fish-cut skirts and crop tops to order, on any base fabric, with mirror work, gota patti, chikankari, zardozi, dabka or aari and only tested zari. You choose each part one by one and approve a sketch before anything is made. You see an embroidery sample before the whole piece is made, and changes needed at the trial are made before delivery. Pieces we make to order are made to your measurements and hand-embroidered in our atelier.
A made-to-order piece is priced on its fabric, embroidery and hours of work, and quoted after the sketch, before work starts. Timing depends on the work, so start early; your designer gives you the plan and dates at the consultation.

Questions brides ask
Which 2026 trend is the safest choice?
Personal embroidery and double dupattas. Both feel bridal and are unlikely to look dated later.
Can I wear a fish-cut lehenga for the wedding?
You can, but sitting through a long ceremony is harder. Many brides save it for the reception.
Can a cape be removed later?
Yes. A cape is a separate layer, so you can take it off for the dancing or the reception.
How many trends should one lehenga have?
Two at most is a good rule. Put the rest into your other function outfits.
Corset lehenga mein baithna mushkil hota hai kya?
Corset fit thoda structured hota hai. Aapke naap se banta hai, isliye trial par designer comfort check karte hain.
