What can we have embroidered?

Can our love story be embroidered into the lehenga?

Your story lives in the details you choose: your names, your wedding date, your initials and the line that means the most. And because we make your lehenga from your own idea, you can bring the moments you'd love to see and talk them through with your designer. You'll see how they come together in the sketch shared for your approval.

Will I see it before the whole lehenga is made?

Yes. First your designer shares a sketch for your approval. Then you see an embroidery sample before the whole piece is made, so you can check how your words look in thread before anything else begins.

How do we choose what to write?

A few tips from us, from one excited bride-to-be to another:

  • Keep it short. Names, initials and dates read beautifully; a line of a few words is easier to place than a long one.
  • Check the spelling twice. Write the names exactly as you want them, and decide how you want the date written.
  • Think about your photos. A name on the dupatta is easy to capture; initials on the blouse back shine in the moment you turn.
  • Decide if it's a surprise. Planning to surprise your groom? Tell your designer, and keep the sketch between you and your mother.
  • Ask about lettering at the consultation so you can see what suits your embroidery.

How much does name or date embroidery add?

Every piece we make to order is priced on its fabric, its embroidery and its hours of work, so name or date embroidery is part of your lehenga's own quote. When should I ask for it?

Bring it up at your first consultation, so your names and dates are part of the plan from the very first sketch. Order your made-to-order lehenga at least 8 weeks before the wedding; your designer gives you the plan for the sketch and fittings, which depend on the work involved. Your first design consultation is free, in our showroom at Shop 226A, 2nd Floor, DT Mega Mall, Golf Course Road, DLF Phase 1, Sector 28, or on a video call. We're open every day from 11 AM to 9 PM, and we'd love to welcome brides in Golf Course Road, Golf Course Extension Road, DLF Phases 1–5, Sectors 28, 42, 43, 53 and 54, Sushant Lok and MG Road.
