Designer Blouse Stitching in Gurgaon: Hand-Embroidered Blouses Made to Measure

Red Banarasi brocade saree from House of Daisy

A beautiful saree can look ordinary with a blouse that doesn't fit, and a simple saree can look extraordinary with one that does. At House of Daisy we make designer blouses on their own, not only with our lehengas: hand-embroidered by our own karigars, cut to your measurements, in fabric you bring or fabric we source for you.

When brides and guests come to us for a blouse

  • A wedding saree that needs a blouse worthy of it.

  • Your mother's saree, worn again with a new, modern blouse.

  • A lehenga you already own, where the blouse no longer fits or no longer feels like you.

  • A reception or cocktail look built around a statement blouse.

  • Matching blouses for a bride's mother, sisters or bridesmaids.

Your fabric or ours

Bring your own: the blouse piece that came with your saree, a length of brocade you've been saving, or fabric from a family saree. We'll check there is enough for the design you want.

Or choose ours: silks, brocades, velvets, nets and organzas, picked to match or contrast with your saree.

What you can design

  • Neckline: sweetheart, V, square, boat, high neck, halter, off-shoulder.

  • Back: deep, keyhole, tie-up with latkans, sheer panel, or fully covered.

  • Sleeves: sleeveless, cap, elbow, three-quarter, full, sheer or puffed.

  • Shape: classic choli, longer crop top, corset-style, jacket or cape.

  • Hand embroidery: zardozi, dabka, resham thread, sequins, pearls, mirror work or cutdana, as much or as little as you like.

  • Personal touches: your initials on the back, or name latkans on the tie-up.

For bridal lehengas specifically, our bridal blouse design guide goes through necklines, sleeves and backs in more detail.

Fit is everything

A designer blouse has to fit closely without pulling, sit still when you raise your arms, and stay comfortable through a long ceremony. That is why we check every measurement with you on a short video call before anything is cut. You can get them from your own tailor, measure yourself with our step-by-step guide, or have us measure you at the showroom. Our measurement page explains all three, and our lehenga measurement chart lists each number.

What decides the price

Every hand-embroidered blouse is priced on its own, because two blouses can take very different amounts of work. The price depends on:

  • whether you bring the fabric or we source it;

  • how much hand embroidery there is, and what kind;

  • the hours our karigars will spend on it;

  • details like padding, lining, a cape or latkans.

You get a clear price once the design is agreed, before anything is cut. How long it takes also depends on the embroidery, and the designer will give you a date when you agree the design. Tell us when you need it in your first message.

How it works

  1. WhatsApp us a photo of your saree or lehenga, the blouse styles you like, and the date you need it by.

  2. Meet a designer at our Golf Course Road showroom with your fabric, or on a free 30-minute video call.

  3. Agree the design and the price.

  4. Measurements, checked with you on video before cutting.

  5. Our karigars make it, with photographs along the way, followed by a fitting.

Questions people ask

Do you stitch plain blouses?

Our work is designer, hand-embroidered blouses. If you need a simple everyday blouse stitched quickly, a local tailor is the better choice.

Can you copy a blouse I saw online?

We won't copy another designer's piece, but bring the picture. We'll design something that captures what you loved about it, made for you.

Can I order for my mother and sisters too?

Yes. See our family and bridesmaid orders page.
