Customised Anarkali Suit in Gurgaon: Made to Measure for Weddings and Festivals

Floor-length frock style suit from House of Daisy

An anarkali is one of the most graceful things you can wear to a wedding. It flows when you walk, twirls when you dance, and is far easier to manage than a saree. But because it is fitted through the bodice and flares from there, an anarkali that is even slightly off in size never sits right. That is why a customised anarkali, made to your measurements, is worth it.

When an anarkali works best

  • Mehendi and sangeet, for the bride or the family. It moves beautifully when you dance.

  • As a wedding guest, when you want something festive but easier than a lehenga.

  • For the bride's or groom's mother, at daytime functions. See our guide for the mother of the groom.

  • Festivals: Karva Chauth, Diwali, Eid and Durga Puja.

  • The reception, in a floor-length silhouette with heavier work.

What you can customise

Length

Knee-length, calf-length or floor-length. Floor-length anarkalis look the most formal and photograph like a gown.

Flare

From a soft A-line to a full circle with many kalis. More flare means more fabric and more twirl.

Neckline and sleeves

Round, V, sweetheart, boat or high neck; sleeveless to full sleeves, sheer or embroidered.

Bottoms

Churidar, straight pants, palazzo or a sharara underneath. See customised sharara sets if you love the flare at the hem too.

Embroidery

On the yoke only, the hem only, or all over. Hand embroidery in zardozi, resham, gota or mirror work, done by our own karigars.

Dupatta

A light net dupatta with a border, a heavier embroidered one, or a dupatta with your initials. See dupattas with names.

Why fit matters so much

An anarkali is fitted through the bust and waist, then flares. If the bodice is loose, the flare starts in the wrong place; if it is tight, it pulls when you sit. We take your measurements carefully and check them with you on a short video call before anything is cut. Our measurement page explains the three easy ways to get them.

Choosing fabric

  • Georgette and chiffon: soft, flowing, good for summer and dancing.

  • Silk and chanderi: a richer look for weddings and festivals.

  • Velvet: for a winter evening function.

  • Cotton and mul: light and easy for a daytime haldi or mehendi.

Customised or ready?

Our Anarkali collection has ready pieces you can try on. If you'd like one made for you, or one of ours changed in colour, length or sleeves, our designers can create it with you. You'll see the design and the price before anything is cut, and a customised piece takes about eight weeks from design approval.
