Bridesmaid Same Colour Different Style

Bridesmaids in the Same Colour, Different Styles (and the Other Two Ways to Match)

Powder Blue Lehenga Set from House of Daisy

Every bridesmaid group ends up choosing one of three looks. Each one photographs differently and suits a different group, so it helps to know the options before anyone starts shopping.

1. Same colour, different styles

Everyone wears one colour, but each person chooses her own silhouette: a lehenga for one, a sharara for another, a saree for a third.

  • Works well when the group has different ages, heights and comfort levels, or a mix of sisters, cousins and friends.

  • In photographs: clearly one group, but relaxed rather than formal.

  • Tip: agree the exact shade, not just "pink". Shades of one colour can look like a mistake if they're only slightly different.

2. Same style, different colours

Everyone wears the same silhouette, say a crop top lehenga, in different colours from one palette. This is often called "mismatched bridesmaids".

  • Works well when the bride wants a colourful, festive look, especially for mehndi or sangeet.

  • In photographs: a rainbow or a gradient, very striking in a line.

  • Tip: keep the palette to colours that sit together, all pastels or all jewel tones, so it looks planned. Read pastel palettes for bridesmaids.

3. Identical

The same colour and the same style for everyone.

  • Works well when the group is small, or for one function such as a sangeet dance performance.

  • In photographs: the most formal and uniform look.

  • Tip: made-to-measure matters most here. When everything else is identical, a difference in fit is the first thing people notice.

Not sure? Let us help decide

When you start a bridesmaid and family order, you can pick one of these three, or choose "Help me decide" and our designers will suggest what suits your group and the functions. Many groups mix them: identical outfits for the sangeet performance, same colour and different styles for the wedding.

How the order works

Add each person's name and WhatsApp number. We send each of them her own link for measurements and follow up with anyone who hasn't finished. There's no minimum group size. Choose one payment or let each person pay for her own, in full in advance. Start about four weeks before the first function. See matching outfits for bridesmaids for more ideas.
