Your phone is full of screenshots. A neckline from one, a colour from another, the way a dupatta falls in a third. You know what you want — you just haven't seen it in one outfit yet. That is exactly where bridal customisation begins, and it is the part of our work we love most.
At House of Daisy on Golf Course Road, a custom bridal lehenga starts with a conversation about you — your day, your functions, the feeling you want when you walk in — and ends with an outfit cut to your measurements and finished for your date. Here is how it works, step by step.
What bridal customisation really means
Customisation can mean two things, and both are open to you:
Changing a piece you love. Seen something on our website or in the showroom that is almost perfect? Very often we can change the colour, the level of work, the sleeves or the neckline. A designer prices the change for you before anything starts.
Designing one from the beginning. Bring your mood board, your colours and the silhouette you can't stop thinking about. A designer sketches it with you, and you choose the fabric, the zardozi, the threadwork and how much sparkle.
Either way, you see the price before you commit. No surprises, and no pressure to decide on the day.
How a custom bridal lehenga comes to life
Tell us about your day. Message us on WhatsApp with your function, your date and your budget — or simply walk into the showroom.
Meet a designer. Sit with us at DT Mega Mall on Golf Course Road, or book a free 30-minute video consultation from wherever you are.
Finalise it together. The design, the fabric, the price and your measurements are agreed with you — nothing is cut before every number has been checked with you on a short video call.
Watch it bloom. A made-to-order piece takes about eight weeks from the moment you approve the design. We send you photographs at every stage, so you can watch it come to life.
Your final fitting. Before it is packed, you see the finished piece on a video call, and you have a final fitting before your day. Alterations at your fitting in Gurugram are included.
Who makes it
A piece we make for you is cut and embroidered by our own karigars in our own workroom — the same atelier and the same hands behind the designer label Bhumika Sehgal. Ask when you visit and we'll show you where your piece is made.
Bespoke bridal wear for every function
Customisation isn't only for the wedding lehenga. Brides often plan a whole wardrobe with us:
The wedding — the lehenga you'll remember for the rest of your life.
The reception — a gown or a lighter lehenga made for photographs and greeting everyone you love.
The sangeet — something you can dance in all night.
The mehndi and haldi — bright, easy and joyful.
If you'd like to see what our atelier makes, start with the Durga Puja Edit — every one of those pieces was made in our own workroom.
How early should you start?
Because a made-to-order piece takes about eight weeks after you approve the design, it helps to come to us a few months before your wedding, so there is time to design without rushing and to fit without worry. If your date is closer, tell us — we'll say plainly what can be done, and our ready pieces can be with you in days.
Questions brides ask us
Do I need to know exactly what I want?
Not at all. Some brides arrive with a sketch; others arrive with a feeling. Both are perfect starting points.
Can I customise a lehenga I saw on your website?
Very often, yes — the colour, the work, the sleeves and the neckline can usually change. A designer will tell you what is possible and what it costs before anything starts.
I don't live in Gurugram. Can I still customise?
Absolutely. Many of our brides never come to Gurugram. A free 30-minute video consultation, our step-by-step measurement guide (or your own tailor filling in our sheet, in Hindi and English) and photographs at every stage make it simple from anywhere.
Can I return a custom piece?
A piece made to your measurements can't be returned, because we approve the fabric, the embroidery and the fit together with you at every stage. Ready pieces in standard sizes have their own returns window — our returns page has the details.
